With the match being postponed at Llandarcy yesterday (Tuesday 29th) a training sesion will take place at Llandarcy Academy on Monday 4th January between 5 and 6pm. A new date for the re-aranged game will be given at the session.

Because it has been such a disappointing season with so many cancellations we probably played yesterday (Tuesday 29th) in conditions that weren’t really suitable, however, a learning experience was achieved by everyone and some of the rugby played in such adverse conditions was a testimony to the character of young players in the district.

A massive thank you to the parents who made the efforts to transport the players to Llangwm in Pembrokeshire; I’m pretty sure that in the height of summer it is quite picturesque, however, not so yesterday. Also to Locky for all his hard work and Ystradgynlais RFC for allowing us to play in such attrocious conditions. Lastly to the coaches and referee’s (Nathan and Rhodri) for so willingly giving up their time during the festive period. Let us hope for a better second half to the season in the New Year.

Both Ystradgynlais RFC and Llangwm RFC gave the go ahead for tomorrows (Tuesday 29th) fixtures to go ahead. Under 12’s away at Llangwm kick off at 11am and 11.15am. Under 13’s home at Ystradgynlais kick off at 11am and the under 14’s at 12 noon.

The coaches have added two players Dominic Williams and Jack Reynolds to the squad selected for the postponed match with Bridgend. The game takes place at Ysradgynlais RFC on Tuesday 29th December. Players are asked to arrive by 10.15am for an 11 o’clock kick off. If anyone is unavailable for any reason then contact Andrew Thomas 07814781015 as soon as possible.

The under 14 coaching team have stuck with the squad they selected for the postponed fixture with Bridgend, to take on Pembrokeshire at Ystradgynlais RFC on Tuesday 29th December. The kick off is scheduled for 12noon so players are requested to attend by 11.15am. Any problems with availability contact Kevin Walters 07921100709 as soon as possible.

Because of holiday committments the coaches have made slight changes in the squad from those selected to play against Bridgend. The games are both at Llangwm RFC (near Hawerfordwest) with the Black team kicking off at 11am and the the Red team at 11.15am; players are requeted to arrive by 10.15am.
