Neath Schools under 11’s will play Aberavon Schools at Aberavon Green Stars on Tuesday 2nd December.

Kick Off is scheduled for 5.30 and the players in the main squad are asked to arrive by 5pm.

Unfortunately there has been a late cancellation of the Neath schools under 11’s fixtures at Tonmawr RFC tonight (Tuesday 25th November).

If you haven’t measured up for District kit and would like to purchase some then you can either call at Kiwi Sports (01639/644333) in Neath town (not on a Saturday) or you can be measured after the sessions at the Afan Lido and Aberavon Green Stars on Friday 28th November.

A deposit of £20 is required from those who have not been measured, while those who have will need the rest of their payment and you’ll be given your kit at training on Friday.

On Friday 28th November the under 13 squad (selected for the Bridgend game) will train alongside their under 14 colleagues at Aberavon Green Stars RFC; the session will start at 6pm and finish at 7.15pm. The coaches have selected the following boys for the first of a quick fire round of 4 fixtures coming up in December (future squads will be posted on the website as soon as selected):

A number of fixtures have been arranged for the month of December and all players are asked to inform club and school coaches where there may be a clash. Also speak early with District coaches if there is a clash with school concerts or any other committment and maybe you can be accomadated in a different fixture.

Just a reminder that District Training takes place at Llandarcy this Friday 21st November.

Scrum halves from the under 12 and 13 age group are asked to arrive by 4.30 (if possible) so that they can receive a position specific skills session from community coach Ceri Owen. Owen will also take a skills session with the under 14 scrum halves at 6pm.

Under 12’s and 13’s session starts at 5pm and finishes at 6.30. The under 14’s start at 6.30 and finish at 8pm.

On Monday 17th November the district under 14’s squad will train at the Llandarcy Academy of Sport. The players will have a practical session between 5 and 6pm and that will be followed by a classroom session between 6 and 7pm.

The classroom session between 6 and 7pm will be led by the Welsh Rugby Union Lifestyle Manager Mr Alun Davies. Davies would welcome parents/guardians to the session as he understands the support and guidance that they have over their young athletes. Davies has the experience of providing off the field support for Ospreys and Wales stars James Hook, Alun Wyn Jones and Huw Bennett just to name a few; his advice will be a huge help for players and parents as they move forward in the system.
